Bienvenido a Todos!

Pilsen Classical events bring musicians together for spontaneous chamber music magic. Picture gifted musicians, often meeting for the first time, coming together with no rehearsals, no setlistβ€”just a spark of spontaneity. After grabbing a cocktail (or two) to set the mood, and diving into whatever music awaits, who knows what musical surprises will unfold?

What is Pilsen Classical?

Pilsen Classical is a chamber project featuring an extraordinary group of musicians passionate about chamber music, collaboration, and fostering connection. We seek to redefine the classical music concert experience, making it more accessible, inclusive, and engaging for both performers and audiences while fostering a sense of community and collaboration in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago.

Introductions

Founded by violinist Alejandra Switala, cellist Everardo SΓ‘nchez, and mulit-media artist Amelia De Rudder, Pilsen Classical is a chamber music project featuring an ever-expanding group of extraordinary musicians, primarily Latine, Black, and Asian, who are passionate about chamber music and collaboration.

This violin and cello friendship duo began in Chicago in 2016 when Ale and Eve met and discovered they both had roots in El Paso, TX. Since then they have shared the concert stage, holidays, and road trips! They both live in the Pilsen/La Villita neighborhoods of Chicago.
